GV Macero / Services / Plastic Sale

Recycled Plastic Sales

Since the 1970s, plastic has been collected as industrial waste by GV Macero, even if waste paper remained the core business of our corporate strategy.

Over the past decade, due to a growing demand for the management and search for solutions for new types of recycled plastics, we focused on developing – in terms of human resources and facilities – services that can address this new business challenge.

Therefore, GV Macero handles the sale of recycled plastic to regeneration plants and end users in Bergamo, Italy, and Europe.

Different types of plastics are recovered and sorted at our facilities or brokered through third-party facilities ensuring high-quality standards.

What do you get from recycled plastics? Various types of materials can be obtained from recycled plastic. They are used in multiple sectors based on the quality and use requirements, as specified below, from HDPE to ABS.

For detailed information about our recycled plastics, collection methods, recovery, and sale, or the price of the plastic we recycle and upgrade, do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to provide more information.

HDPE

High-density Polyethylene is usually used to produce toys and rigid containers such as bottles, bins, crates, and boxes.

LDPE

Low-density Polyethylene – unlike high-density Polyethylene – comprises carbon chains that are further apart, making it a flexible material. It is generally used for food container linings and the production of packaging films.

PET

Polyethylene Terephthalate is the most widely used plastic for producing water bottles, soft drinks, and disposable food containers. Once recycled, it can be used to manufacture bottles or synthetic fibers.

PP

Polypropylene is used in various manufacturing fields, from automotive (bumpers and interior and exterior details) to the food sector (films and trays for food packaging, fruit and vegetable crates, gifts, and household accessories) and the production of gardening items.

PVC

Polyvinyl Chloride is one of the most difficult types of plastic to process, as most remanufacturing plants do not accept it. It is mainly used to produce pipes, cable jackets, sports equipment, maritime applications, and fixtures.

POM

Acetal Resin (or polyoxymethylenes) is a high-strength material used to produce precision mechanical parts. Due to its properties, it is suitable for contact with food, acids, solvents, petroleum, alcohol, and alkaline solutions and as an electrical insulator. If burned, it releases highly toxic substances.

PC

Polycarbonate, due to its transparency and strength, has applications in several fields: in optics (for the production of lenses), in construction (for roofing, windows, and lighting), for the manufacturing of enclosures and supports for electronic equipment (optical and digital recording), in the automotive sector and the military (bulletproof vests and riot shields).

PA

Polyamides (among which Nylon) are engineered plastic polymers mainly used in electronics and for the production of textile fibers.

PS

Polystyrene is used for producing disposable plates and cups, preformed trays for packaging, and, in foam version, as packaging for impact protection.

ABS

ABS is the acronym for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. It is used mainly in the automotive industry but also for producing toys, shockproof panels, and shells for household appliances.

PMMA

This polymer, known by the trade name Plexiglass, was instrumental during World War II when it was used for aircraft glass and submarines. It is now used in many fields, such as aquariums, medical transplants, cosmetic surgery, protective barriers, bathtubs, and shower trays.
Due to its high transparency and cost-effectiveness, it has succeeded in replacing glass in many applications.
